The training has helped me to examine what I’m doing and modify my approach, focussing a lot more on hearing the patient and adapting accordingly.
Since I’ve attended these courses in person and on line, my outcomes have been so much better. I’ve not felt the awkwardness that used to arise through what I now see as my poor, fixed communication style. It flows much more readily and I’m rolling with the patient. I’ve also found that I’ve been able to adapt what I’m doing.

Prior to the CFT training I struggled with managing patients with complex chronic pain presentations. Whilst I was confident in my overall skill set, I had difficulty integrating the psychosocial elements of a patient's pain experience into their management.
The training process helped me develop a new repertoire of skills around person-centered care communication and behavioral experiments it taught me how to help patients make sense of pain and more effectively manage relevant psychosocial factors. As a consequence it made me reflect on my own practice resulting in a paradigm shift and how I approach this very complex patient cohort such that I went from viewing my role as being the fixer to being a coach.

CFT training was challenging at times and intuitive at others. Prior to training, I felt that the toolbox we have to manage people with complex spinal pain works for some, but often only helps manage part of their puzzle.

It's easy in a clinical setting to say someone has yellow flags contributing to their ongoing pain and hope it doesn’t impact the treatment plan, but it very much does. I used to feel uncomfortable delving into this, let alone attempting to weave it into my treatment plans.

CFT training provided me with the knowledge and the tools to expand my skills and clinical reasoning. My communication skills improved, I learned symptom modification techniques, I can better help patients make sense of their pain and develop more targeted patient-specific exercise programs for all musculoskeletal presentations. I would highly recommend CFT training for any clinician who works in this field.

After 35 years in clinical practice, I didn't anticipate anything could have such a profound impact as my CFT training. The passion and dedication that the CFT team bring is evident in every aspect of their work and the Evoolve platform is no exception. For clinicians aiming to offer more to their complex patients and provide truly impactful care this is the place to turn.
Our staff participated in the online KNOWLEDGE workshop which featured content presented in a conversational style, complemented by high-quality visuals and embedded videos. Evoolve enables clinicians to learn individually or collaboratively at their own pace, tailoring the experience to their preferred learning style.

Before attending CFT training, I faced significant challenges in managing patients with complex chronic pain. I found it difficult to integrate the psychosocial aspects of their pain experiences into their treatment plans, often overlooking these critical factors and wondering why progress seemed stalled.

I now realise just how essential it is to provide patients with a clear, actionable plan for troubleshooting their pain. Equally important is helping them understand their pain, empowering them to take control, and showing them how they can reclaim their lives and get back in the driver's seat of their own health journey. Through development of my knowledge, skills and achievement of competency through mentoring has truly transformed the interactions I have with my patients, clinical reasoning and deepened my understanding of holistic care.

The training was a rewarding and enjoyable experience. The workshops were challenging and engaging, and always held within a supportive environment. The skills and confidence I developed have made my daily practice more fulfilling.

The CFT framework has transformed my interview style with patients, enabling me to build rapport and discover specific person-centred targets for treatment much more effectively. I am no longer afraid to dig deeper and remain curious throughout my assessments and interventions.

Before this training, I was always apprehensive when asking patients to try something new in case it made their symptoms worse - this stemmed from my deep-held belief that my role was always to be the fixer, and the feeling that patients would lose trust in me if any of my suggestions exacerbated their symptoms.

CFT has helped me let go of trying to control the narrative, and instead reframe my role to being a facilitator and coach who enables the person in front of me to make sense of their own pain story. I now promote patients' self-discovery through curiosity and behavioural experiments rather than fear and avoidance. This new approach has empowered me both personally and professionally by enhancing my communication skills, resilience and flexibility when encountering any complexity in my practice.
